LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County Public Schools' accreditation has been affirmed, a school official said.
At Thursday's school board meeting, Associate Superintendent Dale Robbins said the system submitted a progress report this year on the systemwide accreditation granted by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in February 2007. The report included progress on recommendations to close achievement gap levels, recruit and retain highly qualified staff that reflects the students' diversity and study the impact of growth on the system. Robbins said he learned earlier Thursday that the accreditation was affirmed.More like this story
