LILBURN - A man's honesty - and an eyewitness to his alleged criminal act - has landed him in the Gwinnett County Jail, charged with Peeping Tom, a felony, and indecent exposure.
Gwinnett County police arrested 40-year-old Roy Samuel Bass, of Lilburn, Saturday morning after officers responded to a Camp Creek Drive home just after 9 a.m. According to reports, a woman heading out to walk her dog noticed Bass standing in a neighbor's yard. When Bass turned around, the 64-year-old woman said, his belt was undone, his pants unzipped. That's when she said she went back inside the house to tell her husband. Instead of leaving, however, police said Bass did just the opposite. "(The husband) ... went to look out the front window of his house and he saw Bass standing approximately 10 feet from the window looking inside," a responding officer wrote. The man said Bass was masturbating as he peeped through the window. Officers said they found Bass walking away from the residence when they arrived. When asked if he knew why he was being stopped, police said, Bass said, "Yes, I was being improper." Jail records show Bass has never been arrested in Gwinnett. He is currently being held on $4,250 bond.More like this story
