STONE MOUNTAIN - A Stone Mountain resident faces fraud charges for cashing 183 disability checks while he was gainfully employed, records show.
Kenneth Daigle, 46, cashed checks totaling $46,423 for three years beginning in June 2005, according to his arrest warrant. Charges of theft by deception and making false statements were brought against Daigle by Investigator T. Marshall, a fraud agent with the Georgia State Board of Worker's Compensation criminal investigations division. Daigle bilked a company called Auto Owners Insurance Co., his warrant says. According to jail records, he was most recently employed as an electrician. It wasn't immediately clear where Daigle worked while he allegedly raked in the worker's compensation money. Marshall was not available to comment on the case Thursday. Daigle remains at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.More like this story
