GENERAL

MUNICIPAL ELECTION

Pursuant to O.C.G.A § 21-2-1 et seq. and all other applicable Georgia laws, please be advised that on November 3, 2009 , a general municipal election will be held in the City of Rest Haven, Georgia, at which time there will be submitted to the qualified voters of said City for their determination the expired term of Mayor (to succeed Kenneth Waycaster); Councilman (to succeed Gentry Wade); Councilman (to succeed James Montgomery); Councilman (to succeed Wayne Burnette); and Councilman (to succeed Kelley Greenwood).

The election shall be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock a.m. and 7:00 o'clock p.m . in the City of Rest Haven. All duly qualified electors of the City of Rest Haven are urged to participate. Those qualified to vote at said election shall be determined in all respects in accordance and in conformity with the laws of the State of Georgia.

Those interested in qualifying for said offices should be advised that the respective qualification period shall run from Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. through Friday, September 4, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. at 421 Thunder Road, Buford, GA 30518.

Qualification will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2009. Individuals intending to qualify shall remit the sum of $35.00.

The registration deadline to vote in this election shall close at 5:00 p.m., October 5, 2009. A run-off election, if necessary, shall be held on December 1, 2009.

The boundary line change for the proposed new precinct 113 will follow Rockbridge Road from Jimmy Carter Boulevard to Jackson Creek to Jimmy Carter Boulevard and back to Rockbridge Road. The remaining areas of precinct 021 and precinct 113 will be the proposed new precinct 021. This change will eliminate precinct 013.

The boundary line change between the proposed new precinct 032 and the proposed new precinct 092 will follow Garner Creek from Cole Drive to Cedar Falls Court to Weston Drive to Dunriver Drive. The boundary line change between the proposed new precinct 077 and the proposed new precinct 095 will follow Sugarloaf Parkway from Lakes Parkway to I85 to Old Peachtree Road. The boundary line change between the proposed new precinct 048 and the proposed new precinct 095 will follow Old Norcross Road from Davenport Road to Satellite Boulevard to Commerce Avenue to Northmont Parkway to Duluth Highway. This change will eliminate precinct 163.

The boundary line change between the proposed new precinct 052 and the proposed new precinct 112 will follow Lilburn Stone Mountain Road from Garner Creek to the Gwinnett/Dekalb County line. The boundary line change between the proposed new precinct 065 and the proposed new precinct 123 will follow Cobb Meadow from Button Gwinnett Place to Harbins Road to Dickens Road. Precinct 078 will become part of the proposed new precinct 123. This change will eliminate precinct 078.

082 Duluth E & 140 Duluth J

The boundary line change for the proposed new precinct 082 will encompass all of precinct 082 and precinct 140. This change will eliminate precinct 140.
