A suspected drunk driver reportedly wiggled out of handcuffs and stole the Duluth patrol car he was being detained in Monday afternoon.
According to reports, the man was driving what turned out to be a stolen U-Haul truck when he was pulled over just before 5 p.m. He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence but made off with the patrol cruiser while the officer was searching the truck, police said. Several agencies aided in the search for the vehicle, which ended when it was found in southeast Atlanta.
