LAWRENCEVILLE - Lightning was to blame in four separate incidents worked by Gwinnett County Fire Department crews on Sunday afternoon, an official said.
Each scene was under control within about a half-hour of 2:30 p.m., when they were reported. No one was injured, said Fire Department spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge. The following were active incident locations: · A house fire caused heavy damage to a home's attic in the 1000 block of San Marcos Cove in Lawrenceville; · A house fire in the 4300 block of Wildridge Drive in Duluth also damaged the home's attic; · A tree hit by lightning in the 1600 block of Oak Ridge Way in Lawrenceville fell on a home; · A house fire in the 1800 block of Stone Brook Court in Lawrenceville heavily damaged the home's attic.More like this story
