Movie: 3 1/2 stars out of 4
Disc: 3 1/2 stars out of 4 While not starting the '60s American New Wave movement (that would be "Bonnie & Clyde"), "Easy Rider" became its most iconic symbol and is to movies what Woodstock is to music. Produced by Peter Fonda, directed by Dennis Hopper and written by both, it features the men as Wyatt and Billy, two bikers trekking across the U.S. while doing lots of drugs and dealing with extreme points of view. The new featurette is good but it is the commentary from a now-clear-headed Hopper that puts it all in its proper perspective. Technical specs: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1080p, 1.85:1), audio: English, French, Spanish and Portuguese (Dolby TrueHD 5.1) English Mono, subtitles: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese. Special features: · Commentary by Hopper · Featurette with Fonda and Hopper · BD Live (Sony, $38.96)More like this story
