HOSCHTON -- A tip led Barrow County authorities Wednesday to a marijuana plant outside a home, which led to a search warrant.
The search warrant led to more marijuana plants, a little cocaine, two handguns and three suspects.
Farias Antonio Meadas, 57, Toress Alejandro Diaz, 30, and Erick Francisco Quintero-Salas, 22, are each charged with manufacturing marijuana in the incident.
According to reports, Barrow County drug agents investigated the residence at 1846 Ga. Highway 211 N.W. after a "cooperative agency" gave them a heads-up from about a possible marijuana grow operation.
While executing the search warrant, authorities said, they found eight immature plants, three jars full of dried marijuana and the cocaine and pistols inside the main house.
Deputies also searched a trailer next door, which they said was also being used as a grow house, and discovered several more plants in "varying stages of development."
The street value of the seized drugs is not known at this time, sheriff's office spokesman Matt Guthas said.
All three men were leaving the residence when deputies pulled up, Guthas said. Instead, they were booked into the Barrow County Jail, where they are awaiting a bond hearing.
