SUWANEE - Boys and ghouls can get a head start on Halloween fun at the city of Suwanee's annual Trek or Treat event Oct. 31 at Suwanee Creek Park.
Children are invited to put on their costumes early and join beautiful princesses, scary monsters, brave superheros and vile villains from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for games, activities and "trek or treating" along the Suwanee Creek Greenway. "This year, we are fortunate in that event is on Halloween day, so it gives kids a great excuse to get their costumes on early and enjoy having it on all day," city spokeswoman Lynne Bohlman DeWilde said. Activities will include face painting, fall festival games, crafts, pumpkin hunting, trail trivia and a costume parade. Prizes and free hot dogs will be available while supplies last. The fifth annual event is free and open to the public. Suwanee Creek Park is located at 1170 Buford Highway.
