DULUTH - Duluth's "Pride in Old and New" may not change, but the tagline will.
A new city logo and tagline will be unveiled Saturday at a community fun day in the park.
Alisa Williams, city spokeswoman, said officials hired a consultant to come up with the new logo, and residents gave input in focus groups and interviews.
She wouldn't give hints about the new city slogan.
"We want it to be a mystery until (residents) get there," she said.
The day will begin at 10 a.m. with a ribbon cutting for a playground at Taylor Park, which is next door to the Town Green and Amphitheater.
The festivities will continue on the Town Green; the first 1,000 attendees at the event will get free McDonald's hamburgers, and pictures can be taken with Ronald McDonald, the Chick-fil-A cow and Chopper, the mascot for the Gwinnett Braves.
The logo is expected to be unveiled at about 11:15 a.m., and a classic rock band will take to the stage afterward.
