LOGANVILLE - A Sunday evening fire displaced a family of five in the 4200 block of Peace Rose Place in Loganville, authorities said.
The family was home at the time of the 5:38 p.m. blaze, alerted by the smell of smoke and neighbors knocking at the door, said Fire Department spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge. No injuries were reported. Firefighters controlled the fire about 50 minutes after their arrival. The two-story home is heavily damaged, Rutledge said. Red Cross officials are providing assistance to three adults and two children who lived in the home. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, Rutledge said.More like this story
