Bill D. Murrah, 80, of Lawrenceville, GA, died on October 2, 2009. He was the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart Betty June Murrah for 61 years. He was a master mechanic, business owner and manager, racing engineer, technical genius and inventor. His vast knowledge of automobiles and his ability to modify, fabricate and improve virtually everything he set his sights on made Bill a go-to guy – not just by his friends and relatives, but also with strangers who had heard stories of his remarkable talents, especially with Porsche automobiles. Loved and trusted by all his friends and family, he was held in the highest regard by his peers. Bill is survived by his wife, Betty; children Larry Murrah and his wife Sharon (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), Patricia Snow and her husband Dan (Charleston, SC) Jeff Murrah and his wife Sondra (Lawrenceville, GA); 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He had been a resident at Silverleaf Alzheimer's Care Home in Snellville for nearly two years. He passed away peacefully with his family beside him. A Memorial Service will be held at Tom M.
