BUFORD -- An 18-year-old Buford resident died Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash on South Bogan Drive near Quail Creek Drive.
Triston Sadler was driving a 1989 Volvo 244 north on South Bogan Road about 8:45 p.m. Sunday and lost control of the vehicle on a curved portion of the roadway, Gwinnett County Police Department spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said.
The Volvo overturned after hitting a drainage culvert, and Sadler and one of his two passengers were thrown from the vehicle, Schiralli said. Sadler died at the scene from injuries he sustained in the crash.
The two passengers, 17-year-old Vernon Thomas and 17-year-old Ashtyn Roper, were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center to be treated for their injuries, which were not life-threatening.
None of the teens were wearing seat belts.
