SUWANEE -- Good ol' St. Nick himself is scheduled to make an appearance in Suwanee on Saturday to help usher in the holidays.
As part of the annual Old Town Holiday Festival and Caboose Lighting, Santa Claus will ride into town on his tractor-pulled sleigh, arriving at Main Street about 5 p.m.
Waving his magical bells, he will light the town's red caboose, officials said, beginning the festivities that will include performances of new and old Christmas songs by the Riverside, Level Creek and Suwanee elementary school choruses.
String students from the Gwinnett School of Music are also scheduled to perform.
The Downtown Development Authority will be selling hot dogs and free hot chocolate, cookies and s'mores will be available.
Santa will be available for photos at Pierce's Corner will also listen to the kiddies' wish lists. City officials remind parents to bring their own cameras.
Children can spend the rest of their time making holiday crafts and carriage rides will also be available for a fee.
