LAWRENCEVILLE -- A disabled man who wandered away from a Thanksgiving gathering was found early Friday morning.
Police said Jason Lee Bowling, a 47-year-old Villa Rica man who is mentally disabled and has a history of seizures, was found by Douglasville police officers at about 7:30 a.m.
He was in good condition, according to Gwinnett police Detective J. Smith.
After his disappearance, Gwinnett police officers submitted a request for a Mattie's Call to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Family members said Bowling walked away at about 6:30 p.m. from a home on Nouveau Court in Lilburn, where he was visiting with family. The family searched for him, but were unable to find him and were concerned he may have been disoriented and attempting to return to his own Villa Rica home by walking.
