KENNESAW -- Collins Hill's girls basketball team defeated host Kennesaw Mountain 59-58 Monday night, reaching the finals of The Mountain Tournament on a clutch shot by Bre'ana Singleton.
Singleton's game-winner came with just three seconds remaining. She finished with eight points and six assists.
The Eagles, who play today at 5:30 for the title, got 20 points from Bria Young and 15 points and five rebounds from Taylor Johnson. Jordan Ulm added nine points and five rebounds.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Grayson 54, Greenbrier 46
COMMERCE -- Taren White had 26 points, four steals and three assists to lead Grayson to a 54-46 win over Greenbrier on Monday night at the East Jackson Tournament.
Anela Durmic had 17 points and three steals for the Rams (2-0). White had 15 points, four steals and three assists in Grayson's opening 43-25 win over Johnson-Gainesville, while teammate Lauren Ball added six points and nine rebounds.
Peachtree Ridge 50, Dunwoody 39
ROSWELL -- Erika Waters had 13 points to lead three double-figure scorers Monday night as Peachtree Ridge defeated Dunwoody 50-39 in The Cure Tournament at Centennial.
The Lions also got 10 points from CiiCii Buford and 10 points and eight rebounds from Brittany Jack.
North Gwinnett 42, Tucker 39
SUWANEE -- Abby Slocumb had team highs of 13 points and 15 rebounds, lifting North Gwinnett to a 42-39 win over Tucker on Monday night in the Bulldog Classic.
McIntosh 36, Berkmar 30
SUWANEE -- McIntosh edged Berkmar 36-30 Monday night in the Bulldog Classic at North Gwinnett.
Parkview 59, Loganville 50
LILBURN -- Parkview defeated Loganville 59-50 on Monday night in the Parkview Tip-Off Classic.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Berkmar 69, McIntosh 58
SUWANEE -- Behind 20 points from Brandon Thompson, Berkmar defeated McIntosh 69-58 Monday in the Bulldog Classic at North Gwinnett.
Winder-Barrow 54, Parkview 35
LILBURN -- Winder-Barrow defeated Parkview 54-35 on Monday night in the Parkview Tip-Off Classic.
Grayson 56, Monroe Area 52
COMMERCE -- Grayson defeated Monroe Area 56-52 Monday night in the East Jackson Tournament behind 15 points from Javarris Smith.
The Rams (2-0), who play again Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the tourney, also got good games from Max Fairclough (12 points) and Ciavy Wiles (10 points).
Hebron 75, Tech 63
DACULA -- Shawn Gibbs had dominating game with 35 points and 15 rebounds Monday night, powering Hebron Christian into the Turkey Classic finals with a 75-63 win over Tech High.
Anthony Stewart added 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Lions, whose 21-7 second quarter was the difference in the game.
Wesleyan 67, Marist 47
CUMMING -- Griffin Schamp had 22 points and Wes Caver scored 17 as Wesleyan defeated Marist 67-47 on Monday night in the Turkey Shootout at South Forsyth. The Wolves (1-1) play the Roswell-South Forsyth winner Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the tournament finals.
WRESTLING
Archer wrestling wins tourney
STONE MOUNTAIN -- The Archer wrestling team became the first boys team to win a first-place trophy for the first-year school. The Tigers went 5-0 to win the Chick-Fil-A Duals at Redan last Saturday.
The team defeated Miller Grove (66-12), Tucker (64-12), Cherokee (72-6), McNair (48-27) and Southwest DeKalb (42-33). Varsay Sesay, Taylor Brittian and Romeo Palmer were undefeated for the Tigers.
SWIMMING/DIVING
Wesleyan splits with Centennial
Wesleyan defeated Centennial 200-109 in the boys competition, but lost 189-120 in the girls division.
Anthony McMurry provided a highlight in the 100 freestyle, winning in 48.37 seconds and breaking a school record held by his older brother.
The Wolves also got wins from Chase Bartlett (50 freestyle, 23.34), Zach Hernandez (diving, 303.90), Alexandra Hernandez (diving, 172.30), Nick Salyers (100 backstroke, 57.14), Jordan Jackson (100 back, 1:03.11) and Will Gregory (100 breaststroke, 1:01.96).
