LILBURN -- Police said a woman held up a Lilburn Subway restaurant Tuesday afternoon.
The robber targeted a location in the 400 block of Rockbridge Road at 2:10 p.m. After speaking to a clerk, she ordered a sandwich, feigned payment with a $20 bill, then pulled out a black handgun, police said. She fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated.
"We haven't had any similar occurrences in the area," said Lilburn police spokesman Sgt. Stephen Weed.
Police described the woman as black, heavyset, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a black hooded shirt.
The suspect fled in a bluish-gray, 1996 or 1997 Honda Civic missing a front right hubcap. Another person accompanied her in the car, Weed said.
Anyone with information is urged to call Lilburn police at 770-921-2211.
