SNELLVILLE -- In early 2010, Emory Eastside Medical Center will begin construction on a new outpatient diagnostic center in Loganville, officials said.
The 6,000-square-foot center will offer a full range of imaging services, including X-ray, ultrasound, bone density, CT scanner and MRI. It will be staffed with six board-certified physicians who specialize in interventional radiology, mammography and neurosciences.
Chief Operating Officer Dustin Greene said the imaging center will take full advantage of new technology, offering an online Internet screening system that streamlines the process for patients. The center will also offer a PACS imaging system, he said, that will allow doctors to analyze diagnostics from the hospital, their office or from remote locations.
"Eastside Medical Center is committed to continuing our service to the Loganville community," said COO Dustin Greene. "Loganville's population is growing -- almost 25 percent between 2008 and 2013 -- and we are proud to be a part of that growth. We're expanding to meet their needs."
