Steve H. Craven, age 66, of Monroe, GA, formerly of Snellville, GA died suddenly of a heart attack on October 31, 2009. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Brenda Tanner Craven of Monroe, GA; two sons, Mike & Michelle Craven and Mark & Emmie Craven; three grandchildren, Kaylee Craven, Cole Craven and Jake Craven all of Loganville, GA; mother-in-law, Mary Tanner of Carrollton, GA; brother, Bobby & Jackie Craven of Jackson, GA; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of many friends. Steve Craven was born in Fulton Co., GA on March 6, 1943 to Helen Grace Alexander Craven and Harold Craven. He retired from Yellow Freight System in Corporate Sales with over 25 years of service. He was a Child of God with membership at the First Baptist Church of Snellville and currently at the Prince Avenue Baptist Church in Bogart, GA. He enjoyed the outdoors and having fun at the lake with his family and friends. Steve was an inspiration to everyone that knew him and his greatest joy in life was spending time with his “partner in life” Brenda, his wonderful children and amazing grandchildren. A Service Celebrating the Life of Steve Craven will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 11:30 A.M. at the First Baptist Church Snellville with Mr. Craven placed in state at the Church at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Allen Parker, Nephew, Dr. James Merritt and Rev. William H. (Bill) Ricketts will officiate. Interment Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA.
