SUGAR HILL - A senior master karate instructor will teach a free women's self-defense class in June.
The class is designed to teach awareness, preparedness and easy-to-learn skills that will help women and teen girls feel more confident and safe.
The instructor, Deborah Jett of Karate World in Suwanee, has been training in and teaching martial arts for 14 years.
The class is scheduled for 6 p.m. June 19. Space is limited, so contact Darcee Shafer at 770-831-7413 or dshafer@cityofsugarhill.
