Melissa Marie Milliron of Suwanee has been selected for membership in the local chapter of Delta Epsilon Iota at Kennesaw State University. She is the daughter of James and Renee Milliron and is a graduate of Collins Hill High School and is majoring in history education.

Tara Thomson of Duluth was awarded the Forestry Alumni Professional Scholarship from the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources on April 16.

Darren Guree of Duluth received the E.E. Provost Scholarship from the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources on April 16. Guree is a senior and is majoring in wildlife.

Jayson Payne of Lilburn was awarded the Trout Unlimited Cold Water Fisheries Scholarship at the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources on April 16. Payne is a junior and is majoring in fish biology.

Mallory Cronic of Lilburn won the Forestry Faculty Award at the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources on April 16 for the senior with the highest GPA in their professional work course. Cronic is majoring in wildlife.

Alicia Diana Cooper of Hoschton has been inducted as a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society at the University of Georgia. She is the daughter of Tommy and Mary Cooper of Hoschton.

Andrew Schrichte of Suwanee has been awarded Cornell University's Meinig National Leadership Scholarship. Schrichte is a senior at Peachtree Ridge High School and is the son of Albert and Carolyn Schrichte.

The following Gwinnett County students have been inducted as members of the Berry College chapter of Delta Pi, an international honor society in education: Sophomore Emily Clegg of Buford, the daughter of Randall and Suzanee Clegg of Buford, sophomore Joseph Cook, the son of Linda Bennett of Loganville and senior Laura Payne, the daughter of Dennis and Debra Payne of Lilburn.

Olivia Rocamora of Lawrenceville received the J. Frederick Agel Endowed Scholarship on April 14. She is a junior at Oglethorpe University and is a double major in english and spanish.

The Berry College chapter of Phi Kappa Phi welcomed the following Gwinnett County students on March 29: Senior Mary Brugh, the daughter of Michael and Jackie Brugh of Lilburn; senior Alicia Garrett, the daughter of Deborah J. Garrett of Dacula; senior Laura Moore, the daughter of Linda and Jason Moore of Duluth; senior Lee Parker, the son of Glenn and Virginia Parker of Oxford; senior Wade Won, the son of Wylen and Lynourel Won of Suwanee.

Dr. Michael Brent Riley Jr. graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He is the son of Mike and Debbie Riley and is a 2000 graduate of Brookwood High School and a 2004 graduate of Reinhardt College. He will serve in the U.S. Army Dental Corp at Fort Campbell, Ky., for the next four years.

Matt Streich of Lilburn won the Gordie J. Yancey Scholarship at the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources on April 16. He is majoring in fisheries and aquaculture.

Mary Beth Morgan graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University on May 9. She is the daughter of Stacy and Tom Morgan of Marietta, the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Sharp of Ellijay and the granddaughter of Thomas E. Morgan of Lawrenceville and the late Carmen Morgan. She received her bachelor of science degree in justice studies and the R.J. Waugh award.

Christina Adelakun of Lawrenceville was named to the Dean's List for the 2009 winter term at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut. She is the daughter of Tope Alebiosu of Lawrenceville.

Jacob Self of Lilburn graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University on April 25. He received his degree in general studies.
