Mrs. Mary Simpson Tullis, age 83, of Buford, GA and the Rest Haven Community passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009. She was preceded in death by: husband, Henry E. Tullis; parents, Baxter and Margie Simpson; step mother, Bill Simpson; sister, Laverne Johnson; and brothers, Stanley Simpson and C. L. Simpson. She is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Scott Kinsey, Lula, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard D. and Linda Tullis, Buford, GA and Russell and Martha Tullis, Jefferson, GA; grandchildren, Darrell Tullis, Jefferson, GA, Darin Tullis, Central America, and Deidre Thaxton, Jacksonville, FL; great grandchildren, Brianna Tullis, Sarah Tullis, Dylan Tullis, and Amber Tullis; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie Lou and Johnny Luchassi, Stone Mountain, GA; brother-in-law, Dr. A. C. Johnson, Gainesville, GA; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Simpson, Nashville, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Tullis was born September 12, 1925 in Gwinnett County, GA. She was a retired bookkeeper for Tullis Metals in Rest Haven, GA. She was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA. Graveside service and interment will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with Rev. Larry Peace officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E.
