Jay and Rena Apley of Winder announce the engagement of their daughter Holly Apley of Knoxville, Tenn., to Henry Knebel of Knoxville, Tenn., son of Marilyn Knebel of Hills, Iowa.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Billy Mathis of Loganville, NoJuana Wimpey of Winder and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Apley of Duluth. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Mathis, the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Parr, the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester Apley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rorison. She is a 2002 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, attended Georgia Perimeter College and is pursuing a degree at the University of Tennessee. She is employed by Lab Corp at the University of Tennessee and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
The future groom is the son of the late Henry Knebel and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Knebel and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Michel. He is a graduate of Highland High School in Riverside, Iowa, and a graduate of Kirkwood Community College. He is employed by Books-a-Million.
The wedding is planned for June 5 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Lawrenceville.
