LOGANVILLE - Meryl Healy is set to drive away from Loganville Ford in a new, limited edition 2010 Ford Fusion Sport today.
The Loganville woman is one of eight winners in the Ford Music Video Challenge, receiving an "American Idol"-inspired Fusion and a trip for two to Los Angeles. Healy entered the contest by submitting answers to video trivia questions about the weekly Ford music video featuring the America Idol contestants. Healy flew out to L.A. with her husband in March and spent an afternoon with this season's "American Idol" contestants on set at Paramount Studios as they filmed a Ford music video. Healy is featured at the end of the video "Making of 'Freeze Frame'" online at americanidol.com checking out her new ride. "This is awesome," Healy cried, as she noticed the floor mats bearing the "American Idol" logo. As a custom, "American Idol"-inspired Fusion, the vehicle is tricked out with two TVs and a built-in karaoke machine. While in L.A., Healy also attended a live taping of the show, which she called "a once in a lifetime experience." "I am probably the biggest 'American Idol' fan," the 49-year-old said. "I've been watching it for eight years. When it's on, nobody can talk to me, nobody can call me." Healy's pick to win this season of "American Idol," which is down to the top two finalists, is raven-haired rocker Adam Lambert. "From the beginning, when I saw him perform, I said to my husband, 'He is going to win,'" Healy said. "He's so genuine and down to earth and he's got such an amazing presence. (Judge) Kara (DioGuardi) had it right. He's a rock god."More like this story
