SUWANEE - Saturday at noon the Town Center Park will become pet central.
Just about any kind of family pet is welcome - provided it's on a leash - at the fourth annual Star 94 Petapalooza, a party that city spokeswoman Lynne DeWilde said is sure to "raise the woof." For the canines in the house, there will be agility, Frisbee and flyball demonstrations. Dog demonstrations will be on the hour from 1 to 3 p.m. All pets are eligible to compete in contests for the best costume, cutest pet and biggest and smallest pet. Children can jump until their hearts are content in inflatable play structures that will be set up and a musical lineup featuring Sunset Love Affair, the Joe Stevenson Band, Edison Project and State of Man will begin at 4 p.m. DeWilde said more than 30 pet vendors will be on hand, as will pets who are looking for a good home. There will be plenty of food and drink - including beer and wine - for sale, but no alcohol may be brought into the park. Parking is available at Suwanee Town Center in historic Old Town along Main Street. For more information log on to www.star94.com.More like this story
