Jimmy Fallon a college grad after 15 years
ALBANY, N.Y. - He's a comic, actor, 'Saturday Night Live' veteran and 'Late Night' talk show host.
Add one more thing to Jimmy Fallon's resume: College graduate.
The 34-year-old Fallon has finally gotten his bachelor's degree, 14 years after he left an upstate New York college to pursue his comedy career.
The television and film star picked up his degree in communications and spoke to graduates at Saturday's College of Saint Rose commencement.
Fallon was a Saint Rose student from 1992 through 1995, when he left the Albany college to pursue a show business career. He was just one semester short of graduating.
Jury clears Snoop Dogg of man's beating
SANTA MONICA, Calif. - A civil jury says Snoop Dogg didn't hit a man during a 2005 concert.
The rapper wasn't in court Friday when the jury's verdict cleared him of civil assault and battery claims. The jury did find that Richard Monroe Jr. suffered serious injuries during one of Snoop's 2005 concerts near Seattle and awarded him roughly $440,000 in damages to be paid by a record label, another performer and others involved in the concert.
Jurors found that the Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, doesn't owe Monroe anything for a severe beating he sustained after jumping on stage.
Miss Calif. pageant to decide on violations
LOS ANGELES - The co-director of the Miss California USA pageant says the fate of current title holder Carrie Prejean will be decided by Monday.
Keith Lewis said Friday that he, co-director Shanna Moakler and Prejean's representatives are close to a resolution.
The state pageant has been investigating whether the 21-year-old Prejean violated her contract by making public appearances with groups opposed to same-sex marriage and by failing to reveal that she had posed in her underwear as a teenager.
