It's finaly here, the Brian McCann rehab start. The game starts at 6 p.m. and will be broadast on CSS by sheer fortune for the channel.

As you probably know by now, Gwinnett shutout Syracuse last night 2-0 mostly on the arm of Kris Medlen who allowed two hits, no runs and struck out 10 in six innings for his fourth win. His ERA of 1.17 is third best in the International League.

Barbaro Canizares will look to extend his hitting streak to 11 games tonight. Jerome Gamble (0-3, 3.27 ERA) gets the honor of pitching to McCann against Syracuse's RHP Collin Balestar (1-3, 5.26 ERA).

But the night will be about McCann. The Gwinnett County product and pride of Duluth High School will play back home for the first time since he was drafted by the Braves and we'll be wearing the world's most interesting glasses . McCann ends his stint on the 15-day DL tomorrow which means Parkview grad Clint Sammons will return to the G-Braves roster.

The GBlog will be absent from the mania, but coverage will be in the most capable of hands' of Guy Curtright.

We'll be back Monday for the final game of the home stand, a 2 p.m. start against Durham.
