Prep Roundup: Three Wesleyan pitchers combine for one-hit shutout

ALPHARETTA - Micah Mabe, J.J. Russell and Kevin O'Leary combined to pitch a one-hitter as Wesleyan shutout St. Francis 10-0 in five innings on Thursday.

Carter Garrison hit a three-run home run, while Brent Pugh got three hits for the Wolves. Drew Fithian and Conor Welton each had two hits for Wesleyan (15-8, 9-2).


Providence 11, Paideia 1

ATLANTA - Christin Stewart went 3-for-3 with two home runs and five RBIs as Providence took an 11-1 win over Paideia in five innings on Thursday.

Austin Barry was also 3-for-3 and scored three runs with a single, double and a triple, while Chris Wages went 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI.

Kevin Dodson got the win after going four innings, giving up five hits and striking out four batters for Providence (17-6-1).

Dacula 7, Shiloh 5

DACULA - Zach Breaux (4-3) tossed five innings and gave up seven hits, an earned run and struck out five batters to help Dacula defeat Shiloh 7-5 during the Falcons final game of the season on Thursday.

Chris Owens and Tripp Calhoun each went 1-for-3 with an RBI and Oliver Pratt went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Marshall Steed went 2-for-3 and Billy Judd was 3-for-3 with an RBI for Dacula (10-15, 5-9).

Westminster 5, Buford 4

ATLANTA - Buford fell to Westminster 5-4 on Thursday.

Woody Ciepiela was 2-for-2 with a home run, while Adam Schrader had three hits and two RBIs for the Wolves (12-13. 7-7).
