Frederick Holt (Fred) McMillan, Sr., age 89, of Dacula, GA died March 28, 2009 at his home. He is survived by: 2 Sons, Fred McMillan, Jr. and David McMillan both of Dacula, GA; 2 Sisters, Bess McGarity and Ann & Conrad Huff all of Lawrenceville, GA; Several Nieces and Nephews. Mr. McMillan was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Moore McMillan and his parents. Mr. McMillan was born in Gwinnett County, GA on November 22, 1919 to Cammie Holt McMillan and Clyde E. McMillan. He served in the United States Army during World War II, retired from General Motors as a Welder after 30 years of service, and was a member of the Dacula Masonic Lodge #433 F. & A.M. with over 60 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dacula and enjoyed the company of his two sons and just being at home in Dacula. A Graveside Service Celebrating the Life of Fred H. McMillan, Sr. will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Fence Road in Dacula with Rev. Matthew Mitchell officiating. Masonic Rites will be rendered by the Gwinnett Memorial Masonic Club. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel.
