G-Braves agree to TV deal
Caray, Jordan to call 25 games on CSS

One familiar name and another familiar last name will fill the booth for 25 televised Gwinnett Braves games this summer.

Former Atlanta Brave Brian Jordan and Josh Caray, son of the late Skip Caray, will call the games on CSS, starting with the April 23 home game against Charlotte.

The television deal is a four-year contract that guarantees a minimum of 25 Gwinnett Braves games will be aired on CSS each season. Twenty televised home games will be announced today.

Jordan, who played for Atlanta from 1999 to 2001 and 2005 to 2006, has been working with the Braves as well as doing analyst work for college baseball since his retirement.

"I am excited about it," Jordan said Thursday from Florida after calling an Atlanta Braves game with Chip Caray. "I am excited to continue to get reps and polish my game, and what better way to do it than calling AAA games?"

Jordan, who lives in Atlanta, will miss one of the 25 games when he is inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.

Caray, who most recently called Rome Braves games on the radio, is also excited about the opportunity at a higher level and on television.

"I am thrilled," he said. "The first thing it is AAA, and even though it is only 25 games, it is 25 more games than a lot of other guys will get this season. Second, it is only one step away from where I want to be, at the major league level, and that makes it more exciting."

The familiar names in the booth please Gwinnett General Manager Bruce Baldwin.

"We are thrilled to partner with CSS and to have two broadcasters that are so connected to the Braves organization and history," he said in a statement.
