BUFORD - This Saturday is for the birds.
The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center has partnered with the county library to host John Yow, author of "The Accidental Birdwatcher" and his latest, "The Armchair Birder," and Jim Wilson, who wrote "Common Birds of Atlanta." The two authors will sign copies of their respective titles and participate in a morning of bird talk and watching at the center. Yow is a freelance writer based in Acworth and is former senior editor at Longstreet Press in Atlanta, while Wilson has been a researcher and teacher at Emory University and served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Audubon Society for eight years. This special program is free to attend with paid center admission. For more information, call 770-904-3500.
