Philip Polimeni, age 63, of Snellville, GA entered into rest March 19, 2009 after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Jo Ann Polimeni; 4 Children, Barbara & Bruce Gardner of McKinney, TX, Michael & DeAnn Polimeni, Vincent & Katerina Polimeni all of Loganville, GA, Lori & Thomas Laws of Lilburn, GA; 7 Grandchildren, Jordan Polimeni, April Dobbs, Reghan Polimeni, Jonathan Polimeni, Harrison Gardner, Hayden Gardner and Hadley Gardner; Brother, Robert & Anna Polimeni of Staten Island, NY; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews. Mr. Polimeni was born on July 4, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to Ida Clara Acquaviva Polimeni & Anthony Paul Polimeni. He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam receiving the National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Polimeni retired from AT&T as a Communication Technician in November, 2001 with 32 years of service. He was a member of the Keenagers Bowling League and AMF Seniors, loved history and was an avid trivia buff that enjoyed having so much knowledge about everything. The Service Celebrating the Life of Philip Polimeni will be held Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment Eternal Hills Memory Gardens with Military Honors.
