Let the Right One In (R)
Movie: 4 out of 4 stars Disc: 3 out of 4 stars Debuting at theaters within a week of each other last year, "Twilight" and "Let the Right One In" pointed out the quality and imaginative extremes in vampire movies. While the former was a swooning, after-school soap-opera, the latter forever turned the genre on its ear with its minimal visuals and stark, poetic narrative grace. Unfortunately, the special features included on the DVD are not much to write home about, but that matters little. This is a movie that even non-fans of horror will appreciate and the disc will more than pay for itself with repeated viewings. Technical specifications: aspect ratio: Widescreen (2.35:1), audio: Swedish and English (Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0), subtitles: English and Spanish. Special features include: · Deleted scenes · Behind the scenes · Photo gallery · Theatrical poster gallery (Magnolia, $26.98)More like this story
