Open since: 1969
Location: Rexall Grill is adjacent to Rexall pharmacy in Duluth.
Hours: 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday
Owner: Rexall Grill has had only three business owners in the 40 years it has been open. Duluth resident Gail Herrin is the latest, having owned and managed the restaurant for 27 of those years. Herrin's daughter, niece and nephew work with her at the restaurant.
Atmosphere: Rexall Grill's decorative theme is undoubtedly Coca-Cola. When the restaurant burned in 1993, the Coca-Cola Company replaced the wallpaper and donated items to replace those lost in the fire. Throughout the years Herrin has owned the place, customers have also contributed to the decor.
Rexall Grill offers booth, table and counter seating.
Menu: "Everything we do is like grandma used to make," Herrin said. "We make it as close to scratch as possible."
Rexall Grill serves breakfast and lunch items, from biscuits and pancakes to burgers and hot dogs. Herrin said the meatloaf is the most popular lunch item, selling out most days.
The daily lunch special of one meat and two vegetables and bread is also a popular choice, with meats ranging from baked ham to country fried steak and changing daily. Southern-style sweet tea complements the food, while homemade desserts are available to cap off meals.
Things you might not know: The collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia began when Herrin bought an antique Coke machine and customers began contributing additional items. Herrin said the Rexall Grill is like a Coke museum.
