Sealed Bids for the Luckie Street / New Hope Road Waterline Project will be received at the Lawrenceville City Hall, main level, Council Chambers, 70 South Clayton Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045, until 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 9, 2009. The project consists of approximately 10,000 L.F. of 6", 8", and 12" waterline, and approximately 600 L.F. of 12", 16", and 24" jack and bore along Luckie Street, New Hope Road, and side streets in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Proposals will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days.
Work to Be Done: The work to be performed by the General Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following major items.
1. Clearing, tree removal, saw cut of existing concrete/asphalt as required before installation of waterline.
2. Installation of new 6", 8", and 12" waterlines including all labor and necessary materials.
3. Restoration of disturbed sidewalks, curbs, driveways, roadways, etc.
4. Installation of all erosion control measures.
5. Relocation of underground utilities as required.
6. Seeding and restoration of disturbed areas.
7. Complete installation of various items related to the above (see approved plans).
Specifications and Contract Documents: Specifications and Contract Documents will be on file for viewing at the City of Lawrenceville, Georgia, City Hall, located at 70 South Clayton Street, Phone (770) 963-2414 on Friday, June 5, 2009. Advertisement of this project will start on Thursday, June 4, 2009, in the City of Lawrenceville official newspaper and Dodge Report. Copies of the Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained from Hayes, James & Associates, Inc., 4145 Shackleford Road, Suite 300, Norcross, Georgia 30093, Phone (770) 923-1600, and upon payment by cashier's check or money order only, made payable to Hayes, James & Associates, Inc., in the amount of $100.00 (non refundable), for each set starting on Friday, June 5, 2009 .
Bidder's street address, phone number, and fax number must be provided to ensure prompt delivery of any addenda. All contractors, subcontractors and distributors must obtain plans and be registered with Hayes, James & Associates, Inc. by Monday, July 6, 2009.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Main Level, Council Chambers of the Lawrenceville City Hall located at 70 South Clayton Street.
The project is expected to be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) as administered by the Georgia Environmental Facility Administration (GEFA). As such, the following requirements shall apply: Equal Employment Opportunity; the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program; Davis-Bacon Act; and, Buy American.

The Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District is soliciting qualification packages from consultants for the Replacement of the Jimmy Carter Boulevard Bridge over I-85.
Packages shall be delivered to the Gwinnett Village CID office no later than 12:00 P.M. local time on Friday July 10, 2009. The Gwinnett Village CID is located at 1412 Oakbrook Drive Suite 181, Norcross, Ga 30093. One unbound original and seven (7) copies should be submitted. Any submittal received after this date and time will not be accepted. Proposals will be publicly opened and only names of submitting firms will be read at 1:00 P.M.
The Request for Qualifications is available at no charge at the Gwinnett Village CID office. You may call 770-449-6515 or email firstname.lastname@example.org requesting a RFQ package. Consultants are encouraged to review or obtain a copy of the recently completed Interchange Modification Report (IMR) for the project. The report may be reviewed at the CID office or a copy may be purchased for $25.

The City of Suwanee is soliciting Letters of Interest (LOI) for Construction Services for its planned Renovations to the former City Hall Facility located at 373 Highway 23, Suwanee, Georgia 30024. The facility is intended to serve as the new Headquarters for the City of Suwanee Police Department. The Project will also include minor renovations to the Crossroads Center located at 323 Highway 23, Suwanee, Georgia 30024. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) package will be available on August 6, 2009.
All services provided will be in accordance to Federal, State, County, and City (of Suwanee) guidelines and regulations.
Construction firms shall have proven familiarity and experience on similar type government facilities as well as demonstrated knowledge of Federal, State, County, and City ordinances.
The scope of work for the Police Headquarters facility is to include but not be limited to:
All labor, material and equipment necessary for selective demolition, roofing, exterior painting, interior framing and drywall, interior finishes, cabinets, plumbing, mechanical and electrical. The construction budget for the Police Headquarters is approx. $240,000.00. The former City Hall facility is approx. 10,500 s.f.
The scope of work for the Crossroads is to include but not be limited to:
All labor, material and equipment necessary for selective demolition, interior framing and drywall, interior finishes, cabinets, plumbing, mechanical and electrical. The construction budget for the Crossroads is approx. $80,000.00. The Crossroads is approx. 3,716 s.f.
All firms interested and capable of meeting the stated requirements herein are encouraged to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) to the City of Suwanee by July 17, 2009. It is the intention of the City of Suwanee to select a Contractor based on each firm's qualifications.
Responders to the RFQ will be asked to submit the proposal form containing the cost information in a separate sealed envelope.
When the time period to submit qualifications in response to the RFQ has ended, the City of Suwanee will convene a committee to review the responses to the questions contained in the RFQ and develop a short list of the most qualified respondents.
Once the short list of the most qualified respondents is developed, then the sealed envelopes containing the cost portion of the proposal will be opened and evaluated.
If the City of Suwanee deems it necessary, the short listed respondents may be notified and invited to an informational meeting and follow-up interview. The City of Suwanee will then convene a committee to review the results of the interviews.
A Contractor will be selected from the short list.
