The Diary of Anne Frank 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray (NR)
Movie: 3 1/2 stars out of 4 Disc: 3 1/2 stars out of 4 Long scheduled for release this week, this 50th anniversary edition of "The Diary of Anne Frank" only increases in relevance after the recent shooting at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. Nominated for eight Oscars and the winner of three, director George Stevens' adaptation of the original stage play has aged remarkably well and still packs an emotional wallop. The generous amount of special features more than makes up for the sometimes spotty visuals and audio. Technical specifications: aspect ratio: Widescreen (2.35:1), audio: English (5.1 DTS HD Master Audio and Dolby Digital 4.0), Spanish (2.0 DTS and Mono), subtitles: English SDH, French and Spanish. Special features include: · Millie Perkins screen test · Archival Fox movietonews clips · George Stevens press conference · Nine (seven new) featurettes · Trailers, interactive press book and gallery (Fox, $34.98)More like this story
