NORCROSS - Gwinnett police have identified two victims in the Tuesday morning fight at the Villa Nueva apartments that left one man dead.
Maximo Antonio Medina-Hernandez, 39, was shot and killed inside a residence at the South Norcross-Tucker Road complex at about 2:30 a.m., police said, after he fought with two black men.
Another man, 23-year-old Jose Melendez, was assaulted. He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment, though it is unclear if he is still there.
A police spokesman said the motive behind the attack is unclear and there are no suspects at this time.
