DACULA - Gwinnett police found a Florida man wanted for beating and choking a woman fishing a Dacula pond, according to arrest warrants.
Kevin Moore, 33, awaits extradition at the Gwinnett County Jail on battery charges and a probation violation in Bay County, Fla.
Moore, a Duluth native, was the subject of a bounty hunter's search in the Dacula area, according to a tipster who told local police the suspect was fishing a pond near Stanley Road and Winder Highway on June 8.
When officers confronted Moore at the fishing hole, he bolted but was later captured in a yard in the 2100 block of Stanley Road, according to a police report.
Moore had been wanted in Lynn Haven, Fla., since late March, when he allegedly battered and choked a woman.
The victim's injuries were not fatal.
