NORCROSS - An early morning scuffle at the Villa Nueva apartments near Norcross left one man fatally shot and another hospitalized.
Two black men fought with a Hispanic man inside a residence at the South Norcross-Tucker Road complex and then shot him about 2:30 a.m., police said. The suspects also beat another man at the residence severely enough that he was hospitalized at Gwinnett Medical Center. Neither victim was immediately identified Tuesday. The motive behind the attack is unclear, and police have no suspects, Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said. Police don't know if the attackers knew the victims, he said. "The only description is that they were two black males," he said. The shooting victim died at the scene, Schiralli said. Police urge anyone with information to call Gwinnett homicide investigators at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS. Callers could received a $2,000 reward. Anonymous tips are welcome, Schiralli said.More like this story
