Gran Torino
Blu-ray (R) Movie: 4 out of 4 stars Disc: 3 1/2 out of 4 stars Mysteriously snubbed by the Oscar nominating committee, "Gran Torino" is easily one of director Clint Eastwood's most powerful films and is perhaps the great performance Eastwood the actor has ever rendered. Playing racist Korean War veteran and recent widower Walt, Eastwood is the embodiment of old school bluster who eschews political correctness and meaningless small talk. His position changes as he gets involved in a turf war between his neighbors and an Asian gang. Technical specifications: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1080p/2.40:1), audio: English (TrueHD and Dolby Digital Surround 5.1), French, Spanish and Portuguese (Dolby Digital 5.1), subtitles: English SDH, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Special features include: · BD-Live link · Digital Copy option · Three featurettes (Warner Brothers, $39.99)More like this story
