NORCROSS - A Norcross woman is in jail after police said she assaulted her teenage son after an argument over beauty supplies.
Angela Nichelle Jackson is facing felony charges of aggravated assault and cruelty to children and a misdemeanor count of third-degree cruelty to children in the incident. Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said authorities responded to a 911 call from the home in the early morning hours Thursday. Reports said an argument between Jackson and her 16-year-old son turned physical when she struck him in the face with a paddle, causing his eye to swell. "She was apparently upset that he had used her professional hair care products," Schiralli said. The misdemeanor cruelty charge stemmed from Jackson's younger son witnessing the incident, Schiralli said. Jail records show Jackson is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail on $23,700 bond.More like this story
