NORCROSS - Two Gwinnett women are in jail after perpetrating what police believe was a classic bait-and-switch robbery.
The suspects - Jamilla Alexander, 20, Norcross, and Anita Ford, 24, Lawrenceville - are being held without bond on armed robbery and false imprisonment charges following their Tuesday arrests.
Police believed the duo worked in concert to roll an unsuspecting male guest of Alexander's, Juan Santos, on the afternoon of March 26.
Alexander allegedly "lured" the man to her Beaver Springs Lane apartment, where he was ambushed by Ford at gunpoint, according to arrest warrants.
Both women pointed small firearms at the man, while Ford instructed him "not to look at (her) or he would be shot," a warrant says.
They reportedly lifted his cell phone and wallet.
Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said Wednesday the case remains under investigation and that further information wasn't available.
