Benefit today
LAWRENCEVILLE - McCray's Tavern on the Square in Lawrenceville will host the Shannon Leach Benefit Concert today at 7 p.m. The benefit will feature a silent auction, raffles and live music from Justin Godsey. Admission is free, and a percentage of sales will go to Shannon Leach's Transplant Fund for a new heart. Leach, a 28-year-old Gwinnett native, was born with congenital heart disease. He is raising money for the medicine he will need to take for the rest of his life following a heart transplant. For more information, visit www.gatransplant.org /Client/sleach. Sonic at half price SUWANEE - Sonic Drive-In in Suwanee will celebrate its seventh anniversary with half price discounts on its entire menu. On Saturday, Sonic will host "Super Saver Saturday" with a half price menu, music, games, prizes, mascots and balloons from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Suwanee Mayor Dave Williams will attend the event to perform a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Sonic Drive-In is located at 3225 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in Suwanee.
