LAWRENCEVILLE - Authorities arrested seven men caught with cocaine in the kitchen of a Lawrenceville home this week, police said.
A raid early Thursday morning on Spring Bottom Drive led to the arrests of seven men caught with a kilogram of cocaine and weapons, according to police. The home is located east of downtown Lawrenceville in a neighborhood off Paper Mill Drive. All suspects are charged with drug trafficking. They were booked by Gwinnett police at the Gwinnett County Jail, where they remain without bond. The accused are: Francisco Caceres, 27, Duluth; Alfonso Cruz, 44, Lawrenceville; Alfredo Flores, 21, Lawrenceville; Jesus Hernandez, 25, Lawrenceville; Hugo Sanchez, 28, address unknown; Jose Perez, 30, Lawrenceville; and Isaias Mondragon, 26, Lawrenceville. All are natives of Mexico, jail records show. Cruz and Mondragon face additional charges of weapons possession for allegedly carrying handguns. Authorities also found an unspecified quantity of methamphetamine at Mondragon's Ashton Manor home, according to warrants. It was unclear Friday if the bust was related to recent drug stings and investigations in Gwinnett.More like this story
