Barrow County CFO resigns
LAWRENCEVILLE - Barrow County's chief financial officer resigned effective today, after a suspension on allegations of being untruthful with the Board of Commissioners. According to an agreement that has not yet been signed, officials agreed to Beth Horacek's attorney fees and six months of insurance, as well as her accrued personal leave time. The agreement also stipulates that only a neutral reference for Horacek would be given to any prospective employers, and "documents related to events leading up to the separation" will be redacted from her personnel file.
