Sealed bids from contractors will be received by Gwinnett County Board of Education at 53 Gwinnett Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 in the Conference Room of Building "C" until 3:00 PM, on August 11, 2009 for construction of the following:

Norcross Elementary School Additional and Modifications - Phase 2

150 Hunt Street - Norcross, Georgia 30071

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Interested parties are invited to attend.

Applications for bidding documents together with deposits of $250.00 per set shall be filed promptly with the Architects. Bidding material will be forwarded, shipping charges collect, as soon as possible. The full amount of deposit for one set will be refunded to each General Contractor, who submits a bona fide bid, upon return of such set in good condition within thirty (30) days after date of opening of bids. All other deposits will be refunded with deductions approximating cost of reproduction of documents upon return of same in good condition within thirty (30) days after the date of opening of bids.

A copy of the bidding documents (drawings and project manual) shall be available for review at the office of the Architect, at the Owner's office, and at all appropriate plan rooms including F.W. Dodge, Atlanta GA; AGC Builders Exchange, Atlanta, GA; Reed Construction Data, Norcross, GA; LDI Reproductions, Lawrenceville, GA; AGC Plan Room c/o Gainesville Whiteprint, Gainesville, GA; D.E.C. International, Marietta, GA; CAD Media, Lawrenceville, GA.

Contract, if awarded, will be on a stipulated sum basis for the project listed above. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to GWINNETT COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in amounts equal to 100% of the Contract Sum, will be required of the successful bidder. These bonds are to be executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia be listed on the "Department of Treasury" Circular 570, and have an A. M. Best Company rating of minimum Class "A" , with financial size VI or better. A Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the value of the respective subcontractor's work, will be required of the Site (utility, storm and grading), Steel Erector, Precast Concrete (all components, materials and erection), pre-manufactured Metal Building Erector, Roofing, Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler and Electrical Subcontractors.

All bidders must furnish to the Architect a completed Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Document A305) to be evaluated by the Owner and Architect prior to obtaining bidding documents . As supplemental information to the Qualification Statement, bidders must document direct experience of construction of a multi-story precast structure of similar size to this Project (minimum two story and 50,000 total square foot area).

Bidders who do not submit the A305 Statement and listed supplemental information will be subject to disqualification. The A305 must show the Contractor's ability to complete the Contract in a satisfactory manner on projects of similar scope and complexity. References from past clients and projects must be included and will be verified.

As part of the pre-qualification process, a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held in the Conference Room of Building "C" at the Owner's Offices at 53 Gwinnett Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia on Tuesday July 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference will result in disqualification of the bidder. Any bidder may be required, at the discretion of the Owner, to furnish evidence that the proposed subcontractors have sufficient means and experience in the types of work indicated to insure completion of the work in a satisfactory manner.

Any bidder that is disqualified may respond to the Owner in writing within twenty (20) days of the Notice of Disqualification indicating why said Bidder feels the disqualification is unfounded. The written appeal from the disqualified bidder will not change the decision already made on this project. However, a favorable appeal may open the way for the bidder in question to bid on future Gwinnett County School System projects. In any case, the Owner's decision shall be deemed final.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

NOTICE OF REQUEST

FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Gwinnett Place Community Improvement District (CID) is soliciting qualification packages from consultants for the Replacement of the Pleasant Hill Road Bridge over I-85.

Packages shall be delivered to the Gwinnett Place CID office no later than 3:00 P.M. local time on Monday, August 31, 2009. The Gwinnett Place CID is located at 3700 Crestwood Parkway, Suite 680, Duluth, GA 30096. One unbound original and five (5) copies should be submitted. Any submittal received after this date and time will not be accepted. Submissions will be publicly opened and only names of submitting firms will be read at 3:00 P.M.

The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is available at no charge at the Gwinnett Place CID office or via the CID Web site at www.gwinnettplacecid.com. You may call 678-924-8171 or email jallen@gwinnettplacecid.com requesting a RFQ package. Respondents are encouraged to review or obtain a copy of the recently completed Interchange Modification Report (IMR) for the project. The report may be reviewed at the CID office or a copy may be viewed at the CID Web site www.gwinnettplacecid.com.

S.R. 324 NATURAL

GAS FACILITIES

RELOCATION, PHASE 3

Separate sealed Bids for the replacement of a 2-inch steel low pressure natural gas main, a 4-inch polyethylene gas main and other related gas facilities located along Georgia S.R. 324 (Gravel Springs Road) will be received by the City of Buford at City Hall located at 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia until 11:00 a.m. local time, August 24, 2009, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The project generally includes the installation of 8,400 linear feet of 4-inch polyethylene natural gas main, 430 linear feet of 2-inch polyethylene natural gas main, natural gas services, line valves and other appurtenances. Proposals will also include an Alternate Bid for installation of 2-inch steel natural gas mains and valves.

The new facilities will replace existing facilities that are in conflict with the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation project for the proposed Widening of S.R. 324/Gravel Springs Road Over I-85, Federal Aid Project No. BRSTO - 0998 - 00 (001).

No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds Georgia State Contractor's License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14. Contractor must be a qualified natural gas contractor under the laws of the State of Georgia, must comply with any Federal, State, and City guidelines and regulations and have cast iron gas main replacement experience in the past five years.
