LAWRENCEVILLE - Two Lawrenceville boys will be prosecuted as adults in a June double-shooting that left one man dead.
Police arrested Brandon Ennis and Michael White, both 14, Wednesday on charges of murder and aggravated assault. They remain at the Regional Youth Detention Center in Lawrenceville. Both suspects attended Richards Middle School as eighth-graders last year, said Gwinnett public schools spokesman Jorge Quintana. A third suspect, Kevin Henderson, of California, remains at large, police said. The shooting occurred the night of June 11 on Caboose Court, a neighborhood off U.S. Highway 29 near Sugarloaf Parkway. Police arrived to find Duluth resident Demitrius White, 21, dead inside a late-model Buick. Another victim, Carl Judson, 17, of Norcross, had scrambled on foot to a nearby shopping center, where medical personnel later found him. Judson was treated for a gunshot wound and later released from an area hospital. Police are still trying to determine a motive for the shootings, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman said. No court appearances for the teens had been scheduled as of Thursday morning, according to a representative of Gwinnett Magistrate Court.More like this story
