Eric D. Duncan, age 60, of Commerce, GA passed away on July 15, 2009. Eric was the son of O. D. Duncan and Lora Allen Duncan Carr. He was a 1967 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. He was preceded in death by his father, O.D. Duncan, niece, Dana Everett, and Step-Father, William Carr. Eric was a machinest by trade but his passion was building dragsters and racing. He owned Buford's Automotive in Commerce, GA. Over the years he worked as crew chief for Jerome Bradford, Gary Brown and Warren Johnson, and during that time they each won a championship. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Dobbs Duncan of Commerce mother, Lora A. Carr of Braselton, sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Jim Garmon of Braselton, step brother, Mike Carr of Pennsylvania, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Dorothy; Dobbs, Marietta, sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Carol and Ken Argo, Powder Springs, one niece, two nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 4:00p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Manus officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00-4:00 pm and from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E.
