Roger Landress, age 40 of Lawrenceville, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 18, 2009 in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stallin officiating. Mr. Landress graduated from Brookwood High School in 1986 and was an avid Baseball Player who was in the Georgia High School Hall of Fame for Baseball. He went on to play baseball at both Dekalb Community College and Augusta College. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 1991 where he spent 3 seasons playing A, AA, and AAA baseball. Mr. Landress is survived by his Wife of 19 years, Michelle; Daughters: Meagan Landress and Erin Landress; Son: Collin Landress, all of Lawrenceville; Parents: Doug and Joyce Landress, Lawrenceville; Brother and Sister-in-law: Eric and Amie Landress, Dacula; Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Wanda and Bobby Buchanan, Monroe; Donna and Dean Freeman, Lilburn; Many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Roger was a loving husband, father, son and friend and is going to be greatly missed by many.
