Emory Eastside Medical Center, along with H2U (Health, Happiness, You), will host a community health screening from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the EEMC Day Surgery waiting area.
The screening is open to the public, but participants must be at least 18 years old. The following screenings will be available: Thyroid-stimulating hormone ($7); fasting blood sugar ($3.80); cholesterol ($5); and a total lipid profile to include total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL and cardiac risk factors ($17.80). Screenings require participants to fast beginning at 8 p.m. Friday. No appointment is necessary, but participants should bring their physician's name and address. Short sleeves should be worn. Screening results will be mailed directly to participants and their doctors at no extra charge.More like this story
